UX Academy extended an acceptance offer to join their Indigo cohort, despite not enrolling in their mandatory prerequisite course.

Context & My Decision

UX Academy’s application challenge.

Prerequisite project application for DesignLab’s Indigo Cohort.

The prerequisite course covers the fundamentals of design interface and user experience. However, due to financial constraints, I couldn't enroll. Instead, I taught myself the necessary skills and submitted my passion project, Bliss Bakery, to UX Academy. I took a leap of faith, knowing that if I wasn’t accepted into the program, it would mean I lacked the innate talent for UI/UX—something I consider a fundamental key to success. Despite not enrolling in the prerequisite course, they recognized my budding UI/UX abilities, and waived the requirement, extending an acceptance offer for the program’s Indigo cohort.
